Duke Energy and the Duke Energy Foundation are investing $682,000 in grants to support 35 local economic development agencies and businesses dedicated to bringing new jobs and investment in Florida.

The Duke Energy Foundation is awarding $170,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations providing support for those impacted by devastating storms that moved across Indiana in late June and early July.

The Duke Energy Foundation is awarding more than $200,000 in grants to local food pantries and community organizations to feed Hoosier families in need. The grants will support the purchase of canned goods, fresh produce and essential supplies to address food insecurity across the company’s Indiana service territory.

The Duke Energy Foundation is dedicating an additional $100,000 in financial assistance to Indiana customers who may be struggling to pay their energy bills this summer. The funding is made possible through the company’s Share the Light Fund, which helps individuals and families in need.

St. Petersburg Mayor Kenneth T. Welch, St. Petersburg City Councilman John Muhammad, and other officials toured one of the recently renovated homes completed by Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay (RTTB) in south St. Petersburg today. RTTB has invested more than $1.1 million dollars since 2022 and more than $88,000 since May 15, 2023, to make much-needed repairs to six homes in the area.  

The Duke Energy Foundation and the Indiana Economic Development Association Foundation announced $115,000 in grants will be awarded to five organizations working to assess and address child care gaps in Indiana communities.

The Florida State Parks Foundation and Duke Energy Florida have teamed up to provide a new trailer and equipment that will allow Florida State Parks’ strike and recovery teams to efficiently mobilize and respond to major storms and other severe weather events.
