Duke Energy Florida will reduce customer rates in 2024. Today, the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) unanimously approved Duke Energy’s request to lower rates starting in January 2024. A typical residential customer using 1,000 kWh will see a decrease in their January 2024 bill of $11.29, or about 6%, when compared to December 2023.

Duke Energy’s utilities in South Carolina are proposing new and enhanced energy efficiency programs to help customers save energy and money, expanding on the companies’ industry-leading success in implementing programs that to date have saved more than 3.5 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity and $6.5 billion for customers in the Carolinas.
