On Giving Tuesday, Duke Energy and Duke Energy Foundation wrap up a monthlong initiative to fight hunger across South Carolina by announcing nearly $275,000 in surprise microgrants and contributions to community organizations across the state. The announcement wraps up a monthlong campaign that provided more than $600,000 to critical community partners that do this incredible work.

Duke Energy Foundation allocated $300,000 to 13 mission-driven organizations focused on preserving Florida’s natural landscapes and strengthening climate resilience.

In honor of Veterans Day, the Duke Energy Foundation today announced nearly $50,000 in grants to 10 Indiana organizations that serve veterans and military families.

This Halloween, Duke Energy Florida alerts customers about energy vampires, devices which are hidden users of energy even when switched off. The devices continue to consume energy year-round, leading to higher electricity consumption and energy bills.

Duke Energy and the city of Terre Haute are launching a joint awareness campaign to connect local residents to tools and resources to help keep their heating costs lower this winter season.

Funding can be used by local businesses like restaurants and retail stores to complete renovations, buy equipment or technology, purchase inventory or meet other business needs.

Duke Energy Florida has launched a new ENERGY STAR incentive program, enabling multifamily builders to receive a $500 credit for each individually metered unit which meets ENERGY STAR certification criteria. The incentive can be combined with an additional $500 tax credit from ENERGY STAR.

Duke Energy Foundation announced that it, together with Duke Energy and its employees, has invested $33.8 million since 2016 to support community resilience, emergency preparedness and disaster relief.
