As the June 1 start of hurricane season approaches, Duke Energy is preparing to respond to power outages as quickly as possible – while also adapting to extra challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Piedmont Natural Gas today said its pipeline system in Tennessee is operating safely and normally, despite extensive tornado damage to Nashville and surrounding areas. Piedmont has been working closely with customers who have damaged property.

The Creswell, N.C., Volunteer Fire Department will soon add 2,000 feet of new fire hose to its firefighting arsenal thanks to a $12,000 donation from Duke Energy Renewables.
