Duke Energy crews and contractors are working throughout the holiday weekend and overnight hours restoring power to Florida customers and responding to 911 assistance calls in the aftermath of Hurricane Hermine. Their efforts resulted in the restoration of more than 220,000 customers within 48 hours.

Duke Energy Florida has restored more than 85 percent of customers left in the dark by Hurricane Hermine and continues to work to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.

More than 1,300 personnel are working quickly and safely to restore power to 26,000 remaining North Carolina and South Carolina customers impacted by Hermine.
