Duke Energy, Piedmont Natural Gas and the Better Business Bureau are joining Utilities United Against Scams for the 10th annual Utility Scam Awareness Day on Nov. 19 – an ongoing commitment to helping customers slow down, verify and stop the scam.

With the coldest air of the season forecast to arrive early next week, Duke Energy is committed to helping customers across the Carolinas save energy and money as heating systems work harder. By acting now, customers can take more control of their energy use – even as temperatures drop well below typical November averages.

With colder-than-normal temperatures arriving across the Southeast early next week, Piedmont Natural Gas reminds customers of the company’s tips, tools and assistance programs to help manage seasonal energy bills.

Throughout November, Duke Energy will highlight critical community partners that do the incredible work to fight hunger in South Carolina. The initiative will provide over $600,000 to more than 60 feeding programs leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday and culminate in final surprise grant announcements on Giving Tuesday.
